Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Speakzy ("Speakzy", "we", "us") and its websites and apps. By creating an account or using Speakzy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Speakzy is a language-learning service offering structured lessons, flashcards, writing practice, pronunciation scoring, and AI-powered tutoring and conversation practice. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country (and at least 13).
• Accounts are for individual use and may not be shared.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Speakzy is a paid subscription service. New subscribers start with a 7-day free trial with full access; after the trial the subscription is $89.99 per year or $14.99 per month (Individual), or $29.99 per month (Family, up to 5 people — no trial).

• If your plan includes a free trial, you are not charged during the trial: your payment method is charged when the trial ends and the paid subscription begins, unless you cancel before then. The free trial is limited to one per customer. Plans without a trial are charged immediately.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time — through the billing portal on the web, or through your App Store / Google Play subscription settings for purchases made there. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Except where required by law or an app store's policy, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds for partial periods.
• We may change prices; we will give reasonable advance notice, and changes apply to the next billing period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, resell, or redistribute the lessons, audio, images, or other content.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying content or models.
• Misuse the AI features, including attempts to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
• Interfere with the security or normal operation of the service.

6. AI features and accuracy

The AI tutor, coach, transcription, and pronunciation feedback are automated and may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete. They are provided for learning and practice only and are not a substitute for professional translation, certification, or advice. Use your own judgment before relying on any output.

7. Intellectual property

All Speakzy content — including the curriculum, text, audio, images, software, and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your own language learning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

8. Your content

When you submit text or voice input to the AI features, you grant us the limited right to process that input to provide the service. You are responsible for the content you submit.

9. Termination

You may stop using Speakzy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the service in a way that may cause harm or legal risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular learning outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speakzy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
